We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Avery Healthcare.

About the Role

This role is responsible for supporting the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a wide range of activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and implementing activities that stimulate the physical, cognitive, and social well-being of our residents.
  • Reporting any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
  • Establishing links with local communities, schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries to promote intergenerational activity and access to community resources.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a positive attitude towards older people, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing stimulating and quality activities and social events.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing dementia setting.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
