About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled teaching assistant to join our SEMH provisions. The successful candidate will work closely with secondary-aged pupils who have behavioral and SEMH needs, providing essential support to help them thrive both academically and personally.

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by offering 1:1 support, small group support, behavior management, and mentoring. You will work directly with pupils to provide tailored support that meets their individual needs, both inside and outside of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 1:1 and Small Group Support: Provide targeted support to pupils to enhance their academic and personal development.
  • Behaviour Support and Mentoring: Assist pupils in developing positive behaviors, social skills, and self-esteem through mentoring and consistent support.
  • Academic Support: Help pupils engage with the curriculum, offering support within lessons across various subjects to boost their academic achievement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to implement individual education plans and behavior management strategies.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and report on pupil progress, highlighting any areas of concern to the relevant staff members.
