Are you a seasoned Accounting Specialist looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Financial Governance Expert to join our Overseas Accounting Team at BAE Systems.

About the Role:

This position involves driving financial excellence by developing and implementing robust financial controls. You will champion continuous improvement initiatives within the Overseas Team and contribute to the design and rollout of financial policies, processes, and procedures.

You will be responsible for managing financial ledgers with precision, applying strong controls to maintain the integrity of various accounting systems. Additionally, you will oversee cash resources to meet business commitments while identifying and mitigating foreign currency risks for non-sterling transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement robust financial controls and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the design and rollout of financial policies, processes, and procedures
  • Manage financial ledgers with precision and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Oversight of cash resources to meet business commitments and identify foreign currency risks
Requirements:
  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in financial accounting and reporting
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Audit experience, including internal and external audits

The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative approach and be able to engage stakeholders across functions and levels.
