Job Title: Substation Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Supervisor to join our team at CV Library. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction of substation and transformer sites, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and manage site staff and contractors to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Construction Phase Plan.
  2. Ensure that all safety procedures are followed and that the site is maintained in a safe and healthy condition.
  3. Coordinate and organize all site operations to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  4. Support the Project Manager in the preparation and maintenance of the Construction Phase Plan.
  5. Ensure that all operatives engaged on the project are aware of all safety and environmental requirements and that this is documented at the outset with inductions and maintained through RAMS and POWRA.

Requirements:

  1. A sound background in Grid Substation construction and cable systems experience working in a project delivery environment is beneficial.
  2. You should have at least 5 years of relevant demonstrable experience in civil and / or electrical construction site supervision.
  3. You will have an ONC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
  4. A detailed knowledge of the safety & environmental regulations relating to construction work in the industry.
  5. A safety qualification such as CITB SMSTS is required as well as experience of working with the CDM regulations and ISO9001 quality processes.
