Academics is seeking a dedicated Counsellor for SEMH Students

Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Mental Health Support Assistant to join our team at Academics in Maidenhead.

Salary: £83 - £95 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role: As a Mental Health Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who face various social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your empathetic nature and ability to provide essential support will make a significant difference in their lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop personalized plans
  • Assist students in developing positive social skills and behavior

Requirements:

  • Degree in Psychology, Criminology, or Counselling (or related field)
  • Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
