We are seeking a highly skilled Children's School Counsellor to join our team at WhereToTalk.

Job Description

This is a permanent, 14 hours a week, term time only position that requires a professionally accredited Diploma in Counselling, experience in school counselling, and the ability to offer various therapies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a professional and confidential service to students, promoting emotional health and wellbeing, overcoming learning barriers, and helping them deal with difficulties.
  • Offer individual and group counselling for children, young people, and those with learning difficulties within the BACP Ethical Framework.
  • Collaborate with referral sources for effective counselling provision and work effectively as part of a team to make a positive impact on students' lives.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Professionally Accredited Diploma in Counselling, registered with BACP & UKCP.
  • Experience in School Counselling - essential.
  • A range of Therapies: Art, Play, and Talking - preferred.
  • Excellent Teamwork and Flexibility skills to manage a varied caseload.
Salary and Benefits:
