Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to lead our technical and compliance functions, ensuring the highest standards in food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight of technical and quality-related issues.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure technical compliance across the business, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Supplier and Customer Engagement: Manage technical communications with suppliers and customers, ensuring seamless collaboration and mutual understanding.
  • Risk and Incident Management: Develop and implement a robust risk management and incident handling system, minimizing potential threats and ensuring business continuity.
  • Audits and Certifications: Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with customer and third-party standards, and maintaining certifications.
  • Quality Systems and HACCP: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HACCP systems, process improvements, and statistical quality control, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Strong background in managing product quality, food safety, and compliance within the food/fresh produce sector.
  • Retail Customer-Facing: Experience working with top retailers, ideally in the fresh produce or prepared food sectors.
  • Project Management: Ability to lead projects and meet critical deadlines, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Educational Background: Formal qualification in Food Science, Agronomy, or similar is preferred.
  • Leadership: Excellent team management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
