Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Director/COO to join our client's executive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering within the energy sector, combined with significant experience in commercial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals.

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to shape the company's vision and long-term strategy.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple sites, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

Commercial Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee budget planning, financial forecasting, and performance reporting.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in a related field such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering). An MBA or equivalent commercial qualification is highly desirable.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy and engineering sector, with a significant portion in a senior commercial or operational role.
  3. Proven track record in managing large-scale engineering projects and commercial operations.
  4. Strong understanding of the energy market, regulatory environment, and industry trends.
  5. Ability to travel extensively and manage multiple site operations.
  6. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  7. Proficient in project management and operational optimisation.
  8. Technical skills in either wind energy products, electrical generation or adjacent areas.
