Medical Director for Respiratory and General Medicine

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our team of respiratory consultants in North Wales. This substantive consultant position will be based in Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor. The successful candidate will join a team of three existing substantive consultants and contribute to the general medical on-call rota. A rotation between the four full-time consultants is proposed, with opportunities to develop a sub-specialty interest and contribute to the general respiratory workload of the department.
Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits.

Main duties of the job
- Provide leadership to the respiratory team and contribute to the development of the service.
- Develop and implement new policies and procedures to improve patient care.
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to improve communication and coordination.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
Required skills and qualifications
- Appropriate higher medical degree (MD or equivalent).
- Full GMC registration.
- MRCP.
- CCT or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC).
