Emergency Medicine Specialist Opportunity in North Wales

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in North Wales. As a Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our emergency medicine services.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking shifts with Welsh Ambulance and EMRTS, the Welsh HEMS service, as well as participating in teaching, service development, and audit alongside our HSTs. You will also have the opportunity to hone your simulation teaching skills and contribute to medical education, including teaching medical students and junior doctors.
Qualifications and ExperienceTo be eligible for this role, you must have full GMC registration with a license to practice, ALS and ATLS or ETC provider certification, MRCEM/FRCEM Intermediate or Primary FRCA qualification (or equivalent), and satisfy UK/EEA immigration requirements for eligibility for work permit. Additionally, you should have successful completion of full ACCS training in EM, anaesthetics, or AM, four years post-registration experience, and comparable competencies to ACCS (EM, Acute medicine, ITU & anaesthetics) and MRCEM/FRCEM Intermediate or equivalent for overseas applicants.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will possess competencies and skills required of ED middle grade, ability and willingness to supervise and teach medical students, junior doctors, nursing staff, and visiting pre-hospital colleagues, ability to write clear, concise, and legible notes, and experience of clinical audit. Desirable qualifications include experience of research/knowledge of basic statistics and critical appraisal of medical literature.
Compensation and BenefitsThis is a competitive salary position offering a generous compensation package, including an estimated £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
