Outpatient Receptionist Role

The Transformation Unit is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering clinical excellence.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to provide comprehensive outpatient reception services. As a team member, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing patient data, administering clinics, and ensuring accurate production of statistics and information.

You will work closely with our team leaders to achieve a safe, kind, and effective service while being flexible to meet our goals.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide a full outpatient reception service to patients attending hospital.
  2. Ensure accuracy of data on the hospital information system (EPR+) and timely production of statistics and information relating to patient appointments.
  3. Request and collect case notes as necessary for short notice clinic appointments.
  4. Administer changes relating to clinics, monitor clinic capacity using the hospital computer system, and ensure all slots are utilized and clinics do not exceed prescribed numbers.
Key Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy.
  • ECDL qualification.
  • Basic Level CTC (IHRIM) certification.
Requirements
  • Previous clerical experience.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Previous NHS clerical experience.

The salary for this position is £23,615 per annum pro rata. You will be required to undergo a DBS check, for which the cost is £27. We encourage you to enrol in the DBS Update Service.
