About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated minibus driver to join our volunteer team at Trust Links. As a Community Minibus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting service users to and from various locations throughout South East Essex.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and people skills, empathy, and listening skills. They will also be required to participate in training and development activities and maintain Health and Safety regulations and Safeguarding requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transport Trust Links members, staff, and volunteers on outings, which may include longer trips.
  • Ensure minibus users are safely seated before each journey.
  • Report any technical problems with the minibus.
  • Take part in training and development activities.
  • Notify staff if unable to attend regular sessions.
  • Maintain Health and Safety regulations and Safeguarding requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A full and clean driving license.
  • Age 21+, holding a full car license for at least two years.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • An interest in people and mental health.
  • Empathy and listening skills.

This role requires 3-4 hours per session, Monday to Saturday, in and around Southend Borough, Rayleigh, Rochford, Thundersley, Basildon, Shoeburyness, Canvey Island, and occasional full days for longer trips. The estimated annual salary for this position is £18,000 - £22,000, depending on experience.
