Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to join our team at Haven House Children's Hospice. As a Paediatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people with palliative care needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert nursing care to children and young people with palliative care needs, working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring that the child's needs are met and their dignity is respected.
- Work closely with the family and carers to provide emotional support and guidance, promoting a person-centred approach to care.
- Participate in clinical governance activities, including audit, service user feedback collection, and research, to ensure that our services are of the highest quality.
- Contribute to the education and training of junior staff and students, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to promote a culture of safety, respect, and compassion, adhering to Haven House's values and policies.
- Registered Nurse (Child/Adult/LD) qualification.
- Experience of working in a paediatric palliative care setting, with a strong understanding of the needs of children and young people with life-limiting conditions.
- Ability to teach clinical skills to parents and carers, promoting a culture of shared learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work unsocial hours as required.
