Nurse Specialist

Haven House Children's Hospice is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Integrated Care Team, you will provide direct care to children and young people with palliative care needs, working in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality nursing care to children and young people with palliative care needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, working closely with families and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in clinical governance activities, including audit, service user feedback collection, and research, to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of continuous improvement, driving our service towards excellence.
- Contribute to the education and training of junior staff and students, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
- Registered Nurse (Child/Adult/LD) qualification.
- Experience of working in a paediatric palliative care setting, with a strong understanding of the needs of children and young people with life-limiting conditions.
- Ability to teach clinical skills to parents and carers, with a strong focus on patient-centred care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
