Job Description

This Manager Valuations and Risk role is responsible for leading the team in ensuring the fair valuation of the Bank's positions and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires a strong understanding of valuation methodologies, structured credit, and illiquid position valuations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team to ensure sound practices in valuation reviews of the Group's investments.
  • Develop close relationships with stakeholders, including business heads, deal teams, risk, finance teams, and auditors.
  • Provide valuation support, offering advice on bespoke transactions, new product initiatives, deal pipelines, and potential impact on valuations.
  • Support the development of a robust control environment and adherence to group financial control and risk policies.
  • Take responsibility for embedding high ethical standards across the Group.
  • Effectively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a quantitative subject (CFA candidate or Charter holder preferred).
  • 15+ years of valuations experience in private equity, private credit, loans, and venture capital.
  • In-depth knowledge of structured credit and illiquid position valuations.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and delivering high-quality output.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated team management skills.
Salary and Benefits
