About the Role

Standard Chartered Bank seeks an experienced Financial Analysis Lead to join its Valuation Methodology team. This critical role requires a highly skilled professional to ensure the fair valuation of the bank's positions, aligning with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of analysts in conducting comprehensive valuations of private equity, private credit, loans, and venture capital investments.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders, including business heads, deal teams, risk, and finance teams.
  • Provide expert advice on bespoke transactions, new product initiatives, deal pipeline analysis, and ad-hoc reports.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a robust control environment and adherence to all group financial control and risk policies.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding high standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a quantitative subject (CFA candidate or CFA Charter holder is a plus).
  • 15+ years of experience in valuations, specifically in private equity, private credit, loans, and venture capital.
  • In-depth knowledge of structured credit and valuation of Level 3 illiquid positions.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and delivering high-quality output.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Proven team leadership skills.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $150,000, depending on location and experience. Additionally, we offer various benefits, including bank funding for retirement savings, medical, and life insurance, as well as flexible working options and proactive wellbeing support.
