Job Summary: Thorn Baker Construction is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters to our clients and site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients and site teams to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safe systems of work to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Attend client health and safety meetings and provide expert advice on safety matters.
  • Review and monitor site safety performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, providing recommendations for prevention and mitigation.
  • Manage on-site occupational health, ensuring that all employees are aware of and comply with health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
  • Technical understanding and experience providing health and safety support in construction and building services.
  • Proficient in IT, with strong report writing skills.
