Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Primary Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Greyfriars Surgery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients within a primary and community care setting, adhering to CQC regulations, practice protocols, and policies.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with various conditions, including long-term conditions.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective.
  • Prioritize health problems and intervene appropriately in complex, urgent, or emergency situations.

About the Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy practice of nearly 14,000 patients, located in the town centre of Boston.
  • Our team provides extended hours as part of our PCN network of practices and offers nurse-led chronic disease clinics.
  • We use SystmOne Web clinical system, Accurx Patient triage, NHS emails, and TeamNet.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in General Practice and hold current NMC registration, Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course, or equivalent qualifications.
