We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Manager to join our team at WAE Technologies Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the Supplier Quality Assurance function and developing a supply chain that is fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Supplier Quality Assurance Function: Develop and implement strategies to ensure that supplier components and assemblies meet demanding program quality and schedule requirements.
- Develop Supply Chain Strategy: Work closely with Procurement to create an integrated supply solution that delivers best-in-class performance.
- Identify and Develop Suppliers: Collaborate with the wider business to identify potential partners and critical suppliers, and develop a supplier assessment and onboarding process.
- Manage Non-Conforming Product Containment: Lead activities associated with specific non-conforming product containment incidents, identifying root causes and ensuring robust problem resolution.
- Develop Supplier Performance Monitoring System: Create a system to drive continual improvement in the supply chain.
- Work with Procurement and Supply Base: Develop improvement plans and deliver performance improvement.
- Support Policy and Process Development: Contribute to the development of policy and process to onboard suppliers and refine the supply-chain.
- Drive Quality Performance Reviews: Conduct reviews and Learning-From-Experience activities to ensure no repeat issues from previous projects.
- Act as Point of Contact: Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for Supplier Quality and the SQA team.
- Support Programme and Technical Reviews: Collaborate with internal and customer teams on programme and technical reviews.
- Risk Management: Define and mitigate risks associated with supplied material and supply chain.
Requirements:
- Formal Engineering Qualification: A degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, with proven experience in a Supplier Quality role.
- ISO9001 Internal Auditor Qualification: Experience with ISO/TS16949 is preferred.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, IMDS: Familiarity with these industry standards is essential.
- Team Player: Ability to communicate at all levels, convey complex ideas, and work to strict deadlines.
- Leadership Experience: Proven ability to build teams, develop personnel, and drive positive change within a Supplier Quality organization.
