About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our team at Keoghs. As a Senior Litigation Paralegal, you will play a key role in the defence of litigated motor cases on behalf of our insurance clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of pre and post-litigation defender motor files, ensuring that all deadlines are met and files are managed in accordance with court timetables.
  • Expert Instructing: You will instruct experts and work with Counsel to ensure that our clients receive the best possible outcome.
  • File Review: You will carry out detailed reviews of medical records and liaise with clients, other insurers, and third parties to ensure that all necessary information is obtained.
  • Negotiation and Settlement: You will negotiate settlements and draft pleadings and court documents as required.
Essential Skills and Attributes
  • Experience: You will have experience in litigation and insurance, ideally with experience in at least one of the following areas: credit hire, personal injury, and counter fraud files.
  • Technical Skills: You will have experience of drafting court documents and an understanding of court processes.
  • Organisational Skills: You will be able to organise and prioritise tasks using initiative and work effectively under pressure.
  • Teamwork: You will be a good team worker with the flexibility to do what is required to get a result and ensure client service levels are met.
