Are you eager to advance your career in the legal field? The Lead Litigation Paralegal will collaborate with Fee Earners in a dynamic team setting. This position entails managing the defense of litigated motor cases for a diverse array of insurance clients. The successful candidate will handle a combination of personal injury, credit hire, and counter fraud cases, taking ownership of their own caseload while supporting senior Fee Earners in various tasks.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Lead Litigation Paralegal include:

  • Managing a personal caseload of pre and post-litigation defense motor files
  • Meeting court deadlines and organizing files in accordance with court schedules
  • Engaging experts as necessary
  • Collaborating with Counsel
  • Conducting thorough reviews of medical documentation
  • Communicating with clients, insurers, and third parties
  • Interacting with policyholders and witnesses
  • Negotiating settlements
  • Drafting legal pleadings and court documents
  • Assisting fellow Fee Earners with their caseloads
  • Performing additional tasks as required to efficiently manage their workload

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience managing pre and post-litigation files for insurance clients.
  • Expertise in defending credit hire, personal injury, and counter fraud cases on behalf of insurers.
  • Proficient in drafting court documents with a solid understanding of legal processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure, with skills in re-prioritizing and delegating as needed.
  • Capability to analyze evidence critically.
  • Team-oriented with a flexible approach to achieving results and maintaining high client service standards.
