Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Midwife to lead our community team in the Andover area, providing exceptional quality midwifery care to vulnerable families. As a seasoned professional, you will manage two small midwifery teams and foster a collaborative environment that adapts quickly to changing needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have recent experience in intrapartum care and a valid driver's license. They will be responsible for supervising and supporting staff, delegating women's care, and providing clinical antenatal/intrapartum and postnatal midwifery care.

A strong visible leader with clinical and managerial skills, the post holder will understand and seek to improve the overall woman's experience, creating an environment to normalise birth and actively support the public health agenda.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managerial responsibility for the provision of safe coordinated care across Hampshire Hospital Maternity Services
  • Visible clinical leadership through effective monitoring and implementation of evidence-based standards
  • Supervising and supporting all levels of staff and delegating women's care and staff appropriately
  • Responsible for providing clinical antenatal/intrapartum and postnatal midwifery care to women

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience. The position also offers a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities and a comprehensive pension scheme.
