Job Summary

The BSOL Procurement Collaborative, hosted by University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, provides procurement and supply chain services to UHB, Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust, and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust & Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The role will be based at the BSOL PC offices, Regent Court Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide advice, guidance, and support for an efficient and professional Helpdesk service.
  2. Deliver excellent customer service to all users.
  3. Act as the main point of contact for emails and telephone calls from all wards, departments, and suppliers, making decisions on whether the post holder can deal with the query or pass it to the relevant section.
  4. Receive calls to the Helpdesk and follow agreed procedures for recording, initiating action, responding to customers, and updating the task management system.
  5. Liaise effectively with Supplier, Procurement, and Stores staff to ensure prompt resolution to customer enquiries.
  6. Provide administrative support to Procurement, including word processing, typing/keyboard skills to produce correspondence, reports, and other documents, filing, photocopying, and scanning.
