About the Job
We are seeking a highly experienced Biological Research Technician to join our team in Cambridge, UK.
As a key member of the Cell Biology group, you will be responsible for delivering support activities to our client's cell culture and banking science function, ensuring compliance with respective H&S and GLS requirements.
The ideal candidate will have multiple years' experience of working in a mammalian cell science laboratory, leading and training other technicians, and possessing strong technical troubleshooting capabilities.
This is a part-time temporary position (12-months FTC) based in a brand-new facility at the customer site - The Discovery Centre, Bio-Medical Campus in Cambridge.
You will receive an attractive salary of approximately £35,000 per annum, plus multiple benefits such as pension scheme, private medical and dental care, and additional day off for your birthday.
Responsibilities
- Routine mammalian cell culture and banking
- Reagent and media preparation and aliquoting
- Cell QC testing and analysis
- Capture shift task requirements and conduct effective handovers with the customer
