Genomics and Evolution Research Lead

**Job Summary**
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Genomics and Evolution Research Lead at the School of Biological Sciences, University of Cambridge. The successful candidate will have expertise in genomics and evolution, with a strong focus on developing and delivering cutting-edge research.
The successful candidate will have experience with novel sequencing technologies, mathematical and computational methods, including AI and ML approaches. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
This is a Grade 10 or Grade 11 position available from October 2025, with a salary of approximately £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. The post holder will be expected to develop and deliver a research program that complements and reinforces the existing portfolio in evolutionary genomics.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of research and publication, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to mentor and support staff and students. We particularly welcome applications from women, Black or Asian candidates, and those who consider themselves racialized minorities, as they are under-represented at this level in the School.
