Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Director - External Manufacturing to join our team at Hyper Recruitment Solutions. As the Procurement Director - External Manufacturing, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for large molecule and vaccine drug substances from external Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).

This role is a key position within our organization, requiring strong leadership and communication skills to manage partnerships with CMOs and drive business strategy. The ideal candidate will have extensive industry experience in procurement and management of large molecule and vaccine CMOs, as well as a working knowledge of sourcing strategies across various geographies and supply chains.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for large molecule and vaccine drug substances manufactured externally.

2. Lead contract negotiations and manage ongoing contracts with CMOs for commercial production and late-phase clinical products.

3. Gather and analyze market intelligence to benchmark the CMO landscape and identify opportunities for improvement.

4. Cultivate relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support business strategy and communicate supply chain insights.

5. Establish and monitor CMO performance metrics to promote continuous improvement.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a relevant degree in supply chain, procurement, or a relevant technical field, as well as extensive industry experience in procurement and management of large molecule and vaccine CMOs. You should also have a working knowledge of sourcing strategies across various geographies and supply chains.
