    We are seeking a skilled Procurement Director - External Manufacturing to join our team at Hyper Recruitment Solutions. As the Procurement Director - External Manufacturing, you will be responsible for shaping and executing procurement strategies for large molecule and vaccine drug substances from external Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs).

    This role is pivotal in managing partnerships with Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) and sits on the leadership team of the Senior Director, External Manufacturing Procurement. You will be required to be a key advisor to the global external manufacturing strategy and be on site 2-3 times per week.

Key Responsibilities:

    As the Procurement Director - External Manufacturing, your duties will be varied, but some of your key responsibilities will include:

    1. Developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans for large molecule and vaccine drug substances manufactured externally, ensuring alignment with the overall supply strategy.

    2. Leading contract negotiations and managing ongoing contracts with Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) for both commercial production and late-phase clinical products.

    3. Gathering and analysing market intelligence to benchmark the CMO landscape, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimisation.

    4. Cultivating relationships with key senior internal and external stakeholders to support the business strategy and communicate supply chain insights.

    5. Establishing and monitoring CMO performance metrics, promoting continuous improvement.

Requirements:

    To be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate with:

    1. A relevant degree in supply chain, procurement, or a relevant technical field.

    2. Extensive industry experience in the procurement and management of large molecule and vaccine CMOs.

    3. Previous experience in the sourcing and procurement of CMO services for large molecule bulk drug substance.

    4. A working knowledge and practical experience with developing and executing sourcing strategies across various geographies and supply chains.
