About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team at McArthurGlen Group. As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting our functional managers across all regions to deliver a high-quality, pro-active, and colleague-focused service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of HR, Corporate Functions, and Regional HR teams to support functional managers in delivering a high-quality service.
  • Coach our People Managers to lead their teams through the full colleague lifecycle and ensure consistency across regions.
  • Support the implementation of HR initiatives and projects to drive business results.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with current UK and EU employment law.
  • Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on employment-related matters.
  • Manage HR information systems, data management, and reporting to ensure accurate and timely data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and improve employee engagement.

Requirements

  • Strong HR generalist experience with a solid knowledge of current UK and EU employment law.
  • Experience of supporting colleagues in Germany/Austria would be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels within and outside McArthurGlen.
  • Experience of HR information systems, data management, and reporting.
  • Previous experience in a commercial fast-paced environment, ideally with a matrix and cross-European structure.
  • Excellent level of English. Proficient German is required. Any other European languages would be an advantage.
