Scientific Computing Specialist

The Met Office is looking for a talented Foundation Scientific Software Engineer to join our Data Science Capability team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of tools and platforms for doing machine learning at scale in an efficient and trustworthy way.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position, 37 hours per week, but we also consider applicants wishing to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. You will be part of a collaborative team that values good quality assurance processes, best practice, standards, and regulations.
Your total reward package will include an estimated salary of up to £37,776 annually, which includes an outstanding Civil Service pension, Recruitment Retention Allowance, and annual leave starting at 27.5 days rising to 32.5 days after 5 years.
