About the Role

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist - End User Computing Engineer to join our team on a 12-month placement. This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in providing technical support and maintenance for our modern Windows desktops, hardware lifecycle, Microsoft 365, and wider aspects of End User Computing.

You will be responsible for supporting small projects to improve our End User Computing services and internal team processes, reviewing incident and task queues, and taking ownership of support requests. Additionally, you will administer and update policies, procedures, and support documentation, providing exceptional customer experience and service to internal Met Office staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting modern Windows desktops, hardware lifecycle, Microsoft 365, and wider aspects of End User Computing in the Met Office
  • Small projects to help improve our End User Computing services and internal team processes
  • Proactively reviewing the incident and task queues and taking ownership of support requests
  • Administering and updating policies, procedures, and support documentation
  • Providing exceptional customer experience and service to internal Met Office staff
