Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at St Francis of Assisi Catholic College. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with high needs and an EHCP, providing individualized support to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.

About the Role:
  • Provide 1:1 support to students with high needs, using a range of strategies to promote learning and independence.
  • Assist with manual handling duties, ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being.

Requirements:
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
  • Experience of working with students with high needs and an EHCP, or a willingness to learn and develop skills in this area.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students and staff.
  • Manual handling training and experience, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
