Mental Health Support Worker

Job Overview
Black Country Job Support is seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Worker to join our Community Mental Health Teams in Walsall. As a Support Time and Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting social inclusion and access for service users in recovery from mental health difficulties.
Main Duties
As a key member of our team, you will work alongside Care Co-ordinators, other Support Time and Recovery Workers, and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team to provide support and give time to an allocated group of service users with complex needs. Your primary goal will be to promote their recovery and maintain them in their community environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Care Co-ordinators in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual care plans.
- Provide practical support with activities of daily living essentials.
- Develop and implement therapeutic interventions to support service users' recovery.
- Work in partnership with other agencies to provide comprehensive support services.
- Take responsibility for own work planning and contribute to the team's goals and objectives.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with good general education to GCSE level or equivalent, evidence of training or development, and good IT skills. You should also possess effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to support service users with severe mental health needs to promote their own recovery.
