Chief Highway Construction Manager

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the UK. As a Quantity Surveyor (Highway) Intermediate level, you will be responsible for providing a full range of Quantity Surveying duties from project inception through to completion.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing cost plans, estimates, bills of quantities, tender documents, and supply chain payment assessment;
- Providing construction phase contract Quantity Surveying services including change management, contractor payment applications, final accounts;
- Preparing data and reports to timescales in a format required by line management and clients;
- Working collaboratively with other service teams to provide an integrated approach to client delivery;
- Developing client relationships and providing an outstanding level of service delivery on a project basis, in conjunction with senior management;
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in quantity surveying and commercial management, equivalent discipline, or experience;
- Previous experience managing subcontract packages from inception to final accounting;
- Understanding of taking-off from working drawings, specifications, and walk-talk-build (WTB);
- Must have working knowledge of NEC forms of contract (Especially Option B and A);
- Must have working knowledge of the application of Schedule of Rates (SoR), and Method of Measurement (MoM);
- Ability to work collaboratively and integrate into multi-disciplinary teams or work independently;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel;
- Experienced in preparing cost estimate and comparison;
- Independent working with minimum supervision.
