Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Environment and Release Analyst to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our IT function, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our application environments, ensuring the integrity and stability of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Environment Management: Manage and support the application environments, including definition, creation, build, deployment, and maintenance, ensuring the integrity of the environments.
  • Configuration Management: Manage the full configuration status of each environment, including OS versions, patch status, and software versioning.
  • Environment Strategies: Define, establish, and maintain Environment Strategies, auditable policies, processes, and IT Controls for Environment Management in line with industry best practice (ITIL).
  • Release Management: Manage all release/deployment activities, including planning, negotiating, and executing releases, and maintaining Run Books.
  • Project Support: Support project delivery through defining and agreeing requirements, providing expert knowledge on best practice environment types, configurations, connectivity, and functionality, and providing guidance to project teams on environment utilisation and efficiencies.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Define and maintain management information, publishing KPIs on a periodic basis, including environment usage/utilization, forward planning/schedules/bookings, performance, capacity, and availability across in-scope environments.
  • Incident Management: Proactively monitor incidents related to the environments, facilitate closure of incidents, and analyse incident data to perform trend analysis and contribute to continual improvement.
Requirements:
  • IT Environmental Management: Naturally, you will be well-versed in IT Environmental Management.
  • Release Management: Perhaps you are working in a Release Management role and looking for a new challenge?
  • IT Infrastructure: Good understanding of IT infrastructure.
  • DevOps/Agile: Experience in a DevOps/Agile environment.
  • Cloud Experience: Cloud experience with either AWS or Azure would be a huge plus.
