Role Overview:

We are in search of empathetic and committed Childcare Support Specialists to become part of our team.

The Childcare Support Specialist will be tasked with delivering direct assistance and care to children and young people residing in our care facility.

This position calls for individuals who are devoted to enhancing the welfare and growth of children, ensuring a secure and nurturing environment, and collaborating effectively with team members and other professionals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily care and assistance to children and young individuals in alignment with their personalized care plans and specific requirements.
  • Build positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional and social growth.
  • Guarantee the safety and well-being of children at all times, including the implementation of safeguarding protocols when necessary.
  • Assist children with everyday tasks, including meal times, educational pursuits, and recreational activities.
  • Maintain precise and current records of care provided, along with any notable incidents or observations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, external organizations, and families to deliver comprehensive support to children.
  • Engage in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to enhance professional skills and ensure high standards of care.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience in working with children and young individuals in a care environment is advantageous.
  • Preferred qualifications include NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or an equivalent credential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to connect effectively with children, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • A compassionate and patient demeanor, with a sincere interest in the welfare and development of children.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the needs of the service.
  • Understanding of safeguarding protocols and child protection laws.
