About the Role
">- We are seeking a skilled Collection Data Specialist to join our team at the Ashmolean Museum, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the documentation of our archaeological collections.
- You will work closely with Curators and the Collections Management Team to ensure accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to national data standards and museum accreditation schemes.
- Key responsibilities include data entry, cleaning, and analysis, as well as collaborating on projects related to archaeological collections and their management.
Requirements
">- Experience working in a museum or cultural heritage institution, preferably with collections databases and/or management software.
- Excellent data entry skills, with attention to detail and accuracy, and knowledge of relevant terminologies and standards.
- Familiarity with principles for planning, organizing, and running archaeological projects, especially concerning national guidelines for depositing excavated material and archives.
Working Hours and Benefits
">- This is a permanent part-time post, working 22.5 hours per week.
- The role requires occasional working at heights, lone working, driving on University business, and regular manual handling.
Salary
">£34,982 - £40,855 (per annum, pro-rata)
