Civil Engineering Graduate Submarines Site Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Civil Engineering Graduate to join our team as a Site Engineer in the Submarines business unit. This role will provide opportunities for growth and development, working on exciting projects that contribute to the design, build, testing, and commissioning of submarines.
About the Role:- This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- You will be responsible for providing general engineering oversight to both identified risks and emergent issues, as well as being heavily involved in the Site Redevelopment Programme and associated projects.
- You will play a key role in ensuring the nuclear assets are safe, legal, and compliant – both to BAE standards and external governing bodies.
- Developing through life management plans for assets and buildings which contribute to the nuclear site licence.
- Production of technical requirements, specifications, documents, and designs to support various engineering and site facilities projects.
- Providing technical engineering advice and support to maintenance, operations, and project teams.
- Providing technical assurance to both internal and external governing bodies to prove compliance to regulations and legislation.
- Assist in identifying business risks and developing engineering solutions to mitigate and manage risks.
- Working with stakeholders at all levels of the business to meet programme demands and partaking in design reviews for a range of engineering projects.
- Understanding the role the team plays in ensuring compliance with relevant nuclear legislation and regulations.
- A minimum requirement is to have obtained or be predicted to obtain a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant STEM subject, including but not limited to Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Nuclear, or Civil Engineering.
You'll receive a competitive salary of around £30,000-£40,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including a pension scheme, annual leave allowance, and Share Incentive Plan.
