The oilandgas Nuclear Engineering Degree Apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to advance your career in nuclear engineering. This programme is designed to deliver the multi-disciplinary and technical skills needed to succeed as a nuclear engineer, while also providing a thorough understanding of the complex nuclear business.

As a Decommissioning Engineer, you will learn basic engineering skills including bench fitting, electrical circuits, and machining to ensure accuracy to specifications. You will work on-site with experienced professionals to gain knowledge and practical skills, guided by mentors who will support your development and learning in your work environment.

The apprenticeship programme comprises a Foundation Degree and BEng (Hons) Nuclear Engineering, awarded by Lancaster University/Blackpool and The Fylde College - a UK top 10 university. Our apprentices will achieve Degree Level in Nuclear Engineering within our sophisticated plant, with the course studied on a modular basis, leading to the Degree qualification after 5 years.

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000-£60,000 per year, depending on experience. To be eligible, you will need 3 A Levels at grades A-C including science or BTEC or equivalent qualifications including science, and 5 GCSEs including maths, English, and science at grades 5-9 or A-C or equivalent.
