Nuclear Technician, Level 5 Apprenticeship

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Plant Inspection Apprentice to join our team at the National Nuclear Laboratory. As a Plant Inspection Apprentice, you will play a key role in safely delivering high-quality plant inspection and development support to chemical process and decommissioning plants on the Sellafield site.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct plant inspections/condition assessments using visual and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques as part of a highly motivated team.
  • Produce quality technical reports of findings/results together with recommendations for continued safe operation throughout the plant lifecycle.
  • Support the development of proposals for inspection and monitoring techniques, and tooling to access difficult/harsh environments.
About the Role

This apprenticeship is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge required to become a competent nuclear technician. You will be working closely with experienced engineers and technicians to deliver plant inspection and development support.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is £30,000-£40,000, depending on experience. We also offer an attractive package of benefits, including:
