Court Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Court Usher at our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service in Aylesbury. This is a full-time Contract opportunity with an initial contract until end of March 2025, with a view to extend.
Job Description:The Court Usher acts as an essential first point of contact for all the court users involved in hearings. You will meet members of the public and their legal representatives, prepare court/hearing rooms, and complete documentation, as well as ensuring the court runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:- Administrative Tasks: Collecting and delivering files and bundles, supporting colleagues and judiciary, and performing general clerical work.
- Post Management: Handling mail, opening, sorting, distributing, and dispatching post as required.
- Inventory Control: Ensuring court rooms are stocked with necessary forms and stationery.
- Data Processing: Entering data, verifying accuracy and completeness, and handling simple transactions such as issuing jury payments and petty cash.
- Maintenance of Equipment: Operating office and court equipment, including computers, phones, and other machinery.
- Phone Handling: Responding to standard inquiries from various parties.
