Job Opportunity: Lecturer in Primary Education and English

The University of Brighton is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join its School of Education, Sport and Health Sciences as a Lecturer in Primary Education and English.

We are looking for someone with a strong background and understanding of primary education and primary English, who can contribute to our primary initial teacher education (ITE) undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good degree in a field relevant to primary education
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent, and proven successful experience as a Primary school teacher
  • Up-to-date, sound knowledge of the field of primary education and primary English

The University of Brighton has a well-established continuum of taught education programmes, including undergraduate education and teacher education courses, postgraduate primary and secondary teacher education, apprenticeships, a Masters programme, and PhD provision.

We have an extensive partnership with schools, colleges, early years, alternative and informal educational providers and settings across the region.
