EF Education First is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as Assistant Director of Studies. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your academic career while contributing to the success of our international language campus.
As an Assistant Director of Studies, you will work closely with the Director of Studies to ensure the smooth operation of the academic department. Your responsibilities will include deputizing for the DOS, covering classes, and assisting in the recruitment and development of teaching staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Director of Studies in their absence
- Cover classes for teachers in case of their absence
- Assist in the recruitment and development of teaching staff
- Ensure appropriate timetabling of students, teachers, courses, and classrooms
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards
- Ensure compliance with the school attendance policy
- Assist students with their enquiries and help solve any problems as required
- Maintain academic resources for students and teachers
- Administer tests and disseminate results and certificates
- Contribute to creativity and innovation within the department
- Assist the Director of Studies in other academic matters as requested
Requirements
- DELTA qualification or equivalent undergraduate degree
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate
- Passion for excellent customer service standards
- Commitment to the highest standards of teaching within our classes
- Strategic thinking and planning skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Resourcefulness and ability to handle difficult situations
- Acute attention to detail
- Strong sense of ownership and drive to succeed
- Right to work in the UK
- At least C2 level of English
- Clean background check and references
