About the Role

The Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Call Referral Handler. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing administrative support to our mental health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering telephone calls from healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders
  • Taking mental health crisis referral information and accurately entering data into electronic systems
  • Sharing information with other professional disciplines in line with Data Protection Regulations
  • Generating letters and reports for GPs and other professionals
  • Liaising with professionals via email and telephone
  • Supporting the administration team with day-to-day tasks
  • Planning and organizing work using own initiative
  • Working with multiple Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Requirements

  • Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft Office Packages
  • Working knowledge of administrative procedures, including diary management and arranging appointments
  • Experience or understanding of creating electronic records and electronic filing systems
  • Ability to manage diverse workload while dealing with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
