Special Educational Needs Coordinator Position

We are seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our thriving Primary school community in Brent. As a SENCO, you will be responsible for leading and managing the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Job OverviewThis is a rewarding role that requires a qualified teacher with a minimum of three years' teaching experience and a National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to work towards it. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with students with a range of special educational needs and a deep commitment to inclusive education and the well-being of all students.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of support staff, ensuring effective deployment and training.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create individual education plans (IEPs).
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and school policies related to SEND.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and high expectations for all students.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a minimum of three years' teaching experience.
- National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to work towards it.
- Proven track record of working with students with a range of special educational needs.
- A deep commitment to inclusive education and the well-being of all students.
The salary for this role is £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. This includes a comprehensive benefits package.
