Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel with regulatory and commercial expertise to join our dynamic legal team in London. As a key member of our fast-growing fintech company, you will work closely with various business areas and collaborate to resolve complex legal challenges.

  • Translate regulations into business-friendly language, focusing on payment networks, schemes, providers, and industry participants.
  • Interact with global stakeholders across multiple cultures and provide timely, actionable advice on product development and launches.
  • Advise on product structure, draft/negotiate contracts, and act as a trusted advisor on key regulatory matters.
  • Identify productivity improvements and contribute to process change.
  • Act as a strategic business partner, researching new territories and providing creative advice to support international expansion.
Requirements

Qualified solicitor (UK/European qualified) with at least 5 years PQE in financial services or corporate law, preferably in a law firm or in-house position.

  • Experience in providing legal and regulatory advice, drafting commercial agreements, and demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • A sense of ownership and interest in following business and technological developments in the global payments and fintech industry.
  • Project management skills, ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and autonomy to work independently.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is £120,000 - £180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits that include health insurance, pension scheme, and opportunities for career growth within a leading fintech company.
