The Robinhood legal team is seeking a seasoned expert to lead EMEA privacy efforts and drive strategic initiatives forward.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in privacy law, particularly in the EMEA region. This role will be responsible for advising on global privacy laws and regulations that impact our business operations.

Responsibilities
  • Legal Advisory: Provide expert advice on GDPR, e-Privacy Directive, and other global privacy laws to ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
  • EMEA Expansion: Support expansion efforts by leading risk-based assessments and developing practical solutions to novel problems.
  • Counseling: Offer guidance on innovative product features, marketing initiatives, and ad-tech operations to minimize regulatory risks.
  • Data Policies: Develop and manage Robinhood's data policies and practices to maintain a high level of data protection standards.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Hold a J.D. degree and have at least 7 years of experience in top law firms and in-house tech roles focusing on privacy law.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading EMEA privacy teams and driving strategic initiatives forward.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of consumer-facing technology or financial services companies and their respective regulatory landscapes.
  • Skills: Excellent project management skills, ability to develop practical solutions to complex problems, and exceptional analytical skills.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year.
