This role involves working closely with our teams to provide legal guidance on products, functionalities, features, and projects. You will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contract terms with clients, financial institutions, partners, and suppliers.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal counsel to sales, business operations, finance, marketing, compliance, HR, technology, customer support, and other teams.
  • Review and draft contract terms, including advising on appropriate risk-based mitigation and business compliance strategies.
  • Draft and review ad hoc legal documents, manage general legal queries, and advise on various issues facing the company.
  • Advise on investment services and financial instruments regulations, as well as market data licensing and distribution.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant industry standards, laws, and regulations, identifying those impacting directly on the business and facilitating or taking the appropriate action to resolve issues.
  • Assist with corporate housekeeping, drafting resolutions, and statutory filings.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to improve processes and ensure business demands are satisfied.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of in-house experience with exposure in financial, investment, digital banking, EMI, or other fintech businesses.
  • Acquired knowledge of international commercial, corporate, regulatory laws, and understanding of privacy and data protection laws.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global organisation, maintaining close contact with relevant teams across multiple locations.
  • A practical, solutions-oriented focus, and be comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-paced culture.
  • Ability to think outside the box and find creative resolutions, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to provide useful and efficient counsel.
  • Advanced knowledge of English language.
  • Good understanding of English law fundamentals.
  • Strong academic credentials.
