We are seeking an outstanding Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Clapham. As a dedicated and passionate individual, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide individualized support to students with SEND. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting students with physical needs, including personal care, hygiene, and feeding
  • Manual handling and assisting with therapy sessions to support students' development
  • Providing academic support to students, focusing on their strengths and abilities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children with autism, PMLD, physical disabilities, and general SEND
  • Knowledge and experience with autism and PMLD students or a strong Care background
  • Additional training in manual handling, hoisting, PEG feeding, and Tube feeding (not essential)
