We are seeking a highly skilled Research Development Manager to join our growing team at Nottingham Trent University. This role will support the Head of UK Industry Research Funding and lead the KTP Team, driving research development and collaboration across the university.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record in UK industry/research funding and a genuine interest in research. They will be able to understand the value and challenges of multidisciplinary approaches and deliver impact beyond academia. The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to assimilate new information and intelligence, and have excellent organisational skills to work with researchers and collaborators to develop clear, detailed, coherent project proposals.
The Research Development team is part of the broader Research Strategy and Operations team, which also includes Research Governance, Policy, Pre-Award functions, and collaboration with the Doctoral School, Research Culture and Environment team, and other Professional Service Departments. Developing highly functional relationships across Schools and Professional Service Departments is essential for this role.
We operate on a hybrid basis, with colleagues combining working across our campuses and from home. There is a focus on colleagues spending some time every week co-located with other team members, as we know the value of building relationships, sharing intelligence and ideas, and feeling part of something real.
