Job Title: Research Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Development Manager to join our team at Nottingham Trent University. As a key member of our Research Strategy and Operations team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and diversification of our research funding portfolio.

About the Role

This is a new role that will create capacity by supporting the Head of UK Industry Research Funding and leading the KTP Team. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in securing funding for collaborative R&D, particularly through Innovate UK and UK Government.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with academics, professional service colleagues, and key funders to secure research funding.
  • Lead the KTP Team and support the Head of UK Industry Research Funding in achieving research funding objectives.
  • Collaborate with researchers and their collaborators to develop clear, detailed, and coherent project proposals.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new research funding opportunities, including those from Innovate UK and UK Government.
